Prague Barbarians 2006

Saturday 8th April witnessed the Prague Barbarians RFC back in action for the first time in nearly two year'', they played against OTC Newcastle from the UK.

The Ba Baa's turned out in a sparkling new Kit sponsored by The Pack, Prague Rugby Tours, Auto Discount, and The Alliance Partnership.

The side was a truly Barbarian's outfit with players from the following nations: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Wales, England, United States, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Scotland. The age range was from a young 17 year old to a middle aged gentleman at 45.

The Barbarian's Captain Veteran Welsh expat Ian Weekes in his 45th year and in his ninth season as a Ba Baa's player was pleased with the performance and at one point it looked as though a victory was on the cards, however they ran out losing by 30 - 12 to a much younger outfit.

The Barbarian's play against touring teams and would welcome any new or old players regardless of age or ability to join the Barbarian's.
